Block.
Single-family home in Colombia — clean geometry and domestic scale in a piece designed to engage with the surrounding vegetation.
The project
Volume and surroundings.
Block proposes a compact piece that dialogues with the Colombian natural context: dense vegetation, marked topography and tropical light. Visualization worked the reading of the volume from two positions — aerial and ground level — to show how it inserts itself without invading the site.
Rendering works here as a communication tool between the studio and the end client, anticipating how the house is perceived from afar and how it is inhabited from inside. The images prioritize volumetric clarity and a brief material palette.
M2 Holistic Studio arrived with a difficult site: sloped terrain, dense vegetation, lateral access. The render had to show that the architecture not only resolved the site but enhanced it. We worked two views — an aerial that shows how the volume sits in the Colombian landscape and a ground-level view that conveys the domestic scale of the piece. The palette — exposed concrete and dark joinery — was chosen for how it reads against the tropical vegetation.
